Small grants for stuck moments.
Uncharted Future funds micro-grants and scholarships for students in Orange County who have the drive to move forward... and hit a financial wall they didn’t build. A few hundred dollars, placed well and timed right, can be the difference between stuck and started. That’s the whole bet.
What a grant can cover
Four kinds of help
Learning.
Course fees, certification costs, books and materials... the unglamorous stuff that quietly stops people before they start.
Training for what’s next.
Trade program costs, tools, exam fees — the on-ramp to a skilled trade, a new skill, or a different direction.
Wellness.
Programs and support that keep a young person healthy and steady enough to chase everything else.
The opportunity itself.
Getting to the competition, the conference, the program across town... sometimes the barrier is just getting there.
Who it’s for
Students figuring out what’s next
Our grants go to students in grades 7 through 12 in Orange County — young people discovering their passions, exploring their options, and preparing for a future that fits them... college, a skilled trade, entrepreneurship, or another path entirely.
We fund the moment, not the résumé. You don’t need a perfect plan or a polished story. You need a real obstacle and a real next step.
How the first round works
Round one is open
We’re awarding our first round of community micro-grants: 4 to 8 awards, typically $500 to $1,000 each, for students in Orange County.
One straightforward application, reviewed by real humans. No maze, no gotcha questions. Recipients get connected with mentors and community partners — not just a check — and with their permission, we document each recipient’s story so donors can follow the journey from barrier to breakthrough.

Fund a future. Follow the dollar.
Every grant we award connects to a specific young person with a name, a story, and a future worth following. Donors see exactly where their generosity goes... meet the students it supports, and follow their journeys as they take their next steps. No black box, no vague “programs.” Just people, moving forward.
